Plant Raisers' Award

The Award is granted to any nominated individual or organisation who has raised in New Zealand a cultivar considered to be sufficiently meritorious.

Previous Recipients List

In 2003, Sue Davison prepared the first comprehensive list of the recipients of the RNZIH Plant Raisers' Award (New Zealand Garden Journal, 2003, Vol. 6(1): 17-19; also available as a PDF at www.rnzih.org.nz/RNZIH_Journal/Pages17-19_from_2003_Vol6_No1.pdf).

This new list is current to 2007 and corrects a few small errors in Davison 2003:

  • Plant Raisers Award 1964: "Blumhard" should be spelt "Blumhardt" and p.54 is an additional reference to the Award
