Roses

Rose-grower Amanda Beales says an aim of her book is to not just to amalgamate established ideas on rose growing but to point out new sites for roses.

She offers information and practical advice on selecting, pruning and planting roses, as well as a guide to year-round care, including propagation and pest control.

There's also a directory of rose types and further information on which roses thrive in various situations - shade, hedging and so on.

As with Cactus Basics, in the same series, this a small guide offering value for money to the new enthusiast.
