This register covers plant species both native and exotic to New Zealand. As it was published some 15 years ago, some of the records are now out of date. Some changes and additions are:

Crocus — the collection held by the late Charlie Challenger is now maintained by Dr Melva Philipson of Nelson (added: July 2008).

Geranium — Philippa Foes-Lamb of Nelson has a collection of 59 different hardy cranesbill geraniums and a smallish collection of trilliums (added: July 2008).

Iris — Terry Johnson of Wairarapa has a significant historic collection of the Irises of Jean Stevens. His collection comprises:

    • Species =12
    • Tall Bearded cultivars = 550
    • Siberian iris cultivars = 112
