 I HAVE a young ‘Shimidsu Sakura’ that is oozing a clear jellylike substance. What spray can I use?

 I REFERRED your query to our grower of ornamental cherries and he says the ooze is Blast — a bacterial disease.

Spray with Bravo at 7–10 day intervals. Prune out infected material and spray once a month with Copper Oxychloride as a protectant spray.
