RNZIH Conferences and meetings
The Royal NZ Institute of Horticulture has a long history of
conferences, seminars, symposia, and workshops on a wide range of
topics.
Although we have run our own events, in recent years we have
joined conferences organised by the:
These conferences usually coincide with our annual Banks Memorial
Lecture, Annual General Meetings, and RNZIH award presentations.
The Banks Memorial Lecture is a free lecture open to the public.
It commemorates Sir Joseph Banks, botanist on Captain Cook’s first
voyage to New Zealand. During a later distinguished scientific
career, he was Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew,
London.
