Water Gardens — Best water lilies

Question WHAT are the best waterlily varieties to grow for cut flowers?

Answer  THEY are all pretty good, although the tropicals are most popular. The varieties most often used for this in NZ are ‘Stellata’, ‘Pink Star’, ‘Siebert’, and ‘Black Prince’.

There is actually quite an active export trade in water lily flowers from NZ and they fetch good prices from markets as far away as the USA and Switzerland!
