David Glenn

David completed a Horticulture and Gardening apprenticeship with the Dunedin City Council before travelling abroad. While overseas David worked in Britain and Europe for 10 years as one of the managers of Southern Tree Surgeons Ltd, an arborist contractor working throughout Europe.

Following his return David has been a Horticulture and Arborist contractor in Dunedin since 1988 running his own company until 1997.

Since then David was the Head of School for Horticulture for the Otago Polytechnic for three years before working until 2012 as the National Contracts Manager for the New Zealand Horticulture Industry Training Organisation based in Dunedin.

David served as the Notable Trees Chairman following the late Ron Flook’s long standing contribution in this role. He represented notable trees when serving on the RNZIH National Executive from 2006 to 2013.
